Greg Gamble’s Hoops Special: 31-19 ATS !!!

Before we get to my picks tonight…I wanted to weigh-in on the Allen Iverson fiasco. While all my sources have indicated the Nuggets are the closest to getting a deal done, I cannot fathom how GM Kevin McHale and the T-Wolves have not figured something out for the former Hoya. Give’em the highly touted rookies Randy Foye & Craig Smith, throw-in the Mall of America, shop everyone to other teams for a draft-pick to sweeten the deal, or even make Philly well-aware they’ll take back any bad contract (except Chris Webber who can’t even bend-over anymore to pick up the basketball…let alone rebound it.)

I’ll be the first to admit Bubby Chuck may be the hardest superstar in the league to play with, but Garnett would thrive as a second option and A.I. may actually match his offensive intensity on the defensive end with KG’s infectious passion. Mark my words, any other team involved in the Iverson sweepstakes will be regretting the decision by March, while the T-Wolves would become the most exciting team in the NBA and a miserable match-up for a top seeded team in this year’s playoffs...I guarantee it! BTW, I got three more winners for you tonight…Read on young lads…Read on!!!

Without D-Wade and Shaq the Heat might actually lose to few college teams and my YMCA squad. Phoenix was up on them by more than 20 before coasting to a 10-point lead in Miami Wednesday after the Heat’s bench threw-in some prayers from downtown. In addition, the trip to Washington shouldn’t do much to get Antoine Walker, Gary Payton, & Alonzo Mourning’s bodies loosening up, while Arenus, Butler, & Jamison seem finally convinced they can play with anybody. The Wizards are playing great of late, especially at home, and won’t let Miami get within 20 during the second half…Wizards by 18-24 points

I know you guys are sick of me laying all these points, but if you look at Philly’s roster without Iverson…it’s beyond comprehension. In addition, the A.I saga is in the back of everybody’s mind as they all wonder if they’ll be thrown into a new city. As for the Mavericks, Avery Johnson is too intense to let them sleepwalk thru this one at home and Dirk Nowitski may score 60 tonight against Webber and Alan Henderson…yes I said Alan Henderson! This one’s on ESPN tonight so grab an Olde E 40 and enjoy the asskickin’…Dallas by 22-28 points

As you’ll notice, I love the home favorites tonight playing a bunch of defense-less uninspired teams all waiting to hear about Iverson. Utah is ridiculous at home (11-1) and has a frontcourt that is unstoppable…especially when matched-up with Kenny Thomas, Brad Miller, & Corliss Williamson. Deron Williams has quietly become an All-Star (17.3 ppg, 9.2 ass, & 48 fg%) and should have his way with the slow-footed Mike Bibby…Oh yeah, and you know Artest is not looking forward to the club scene in Salt Lake City…Jazz by 12-18 points

Have a great weekend Homeboys and look for the College Pick’em email this weekend…Dollar Dollar Bill Y’all
