Greg Gamble’s Hoops Special: 40-24 ATS !!!

Happy Holiday Homeboys! The Bowl Spectacular will be updated by tomorrow with standings and the spreads for all games…so enjoy the rest of the bowl season. As for my unbelievable NBA picks, I’ve got a post X-Mas theory today that is hotter than a sleepover with the women of 90210. Playing on the road the day after Christmas for teams that are bottom feeders or plagued by injury is never a good combination. Check out my 4 winners for tonight and maybe we can add a little more luv to your holiday collection… www.insideplays.com

An already thin frontcourt has lost Yao Ming, leaving the 62-year old Mutombo, the ghost of Juwan Howard, the 6-6 Chuck “Papa Smurf” Hayes, and Scott “I’ve never seen the paint” Padgett in the middle for the Rockets. I know McGrady is questionable tonight after missing the last 7, but even if he plays I can’t see him easily finding a rhythm…especially since he was just getting used to playing off The Great Wall of Houston. As for the Pacers, they’ve been up and down all year, but have looked better of late (winning 4 of 6) and have looked dominate upfront against smaller opponents (O’Neal, Harrington, & Foster)...Pacers by 10-16 points

The Wizards are returning from a Western Conference road-trip where they went 3-1, including a victory ending the Suns 15-game win streak. Arenas has been unstoppable over that time, averaging 42 ppg 7 reb. 7 ass., and will be matched-up against Damon Stoudamire and Chucky Atkins tonight…not a good sign Fratello! The Grizzles have been horrible this year and just got back on out of shape Pau Gasol who is still trying to find his game and fit into the offense. Mike Miller is the only other scoring option, but he should struggle against Caron Butler and DeShawn Stevenson who have been magnificent of late. The Wizards are going to get a warm welcome from the home crowd tonight and expect them to be moving at another level than the Grizz…Wizards by 12-18 points

I just think this is a horrible match-up for a Blazers squad that is still trying to figure-out an everyday lineup. In their last meeting, the Suns won by 18 in Portland. Rookie Brandon Roy is just returning from injury, but getting into the flow against the machine that is D’Antoni’s Suns should be a little daunting. Zach Randolph has been a bright spot for the Nate McMillian’s crew this season, but he’ll even admit that he’s the last guy you want chasing Stoundemire and Marion…Suns by 16-22 points

After the Bobcats almost lost by 40 to the Bulls on Saturday, I have a feeling they wish they had a Christmas vacation like the college kids. Brevin Knight who has been a remarkable floor general for the Cats is out, as well as their only low-post threat this season Sean May. As for Dallas…and as I’ve wrote before, they look more focused than last year and should have their way with most bottom feeders all season…Mavs by 18-24
