Greg Gamble's Hoops Special: 51-31 ATS

With all his winnings, will Greggy G be celebrating with some St. Ides?

Welcome to the home of Greg Gamble’s Nightly NBA Winners. If you’ve been riding with me from the beginning and placed a Benjamin on each of my picks, after the book takes the OJ, you’d still be sitting with 17 pictures of the former president. That’s enough paper to buy my girl something shinny for her ears and a case of St. Ides-Special Brew for me…Holiday-Blend of course. While it’s always invigorating to pat yourself on the back, I’m not satisfied and will be looking to be at least 30 games over .500 by Valentine’s Day…my girl needs a necklace to match the earrings and I have always wanted a white tiger! Uno, Dos, Tres winners for you tonight Homeboys, let’s start the weekend off right…www.insideplays.com

The analysis on this game tonight is easy. Without Yao Ming, the Rockets are simply not better than the Jazz and will struggle to contain Boozer and Okur all tonight. AK-47 should keep T-Mac somewhat under wraps, which will leave Van Gundy’s squad struggling to find anybody with a consistent scoring touch. Getting points in this contest seems like the unexpected bonus footage in Debbie Does Dallas…it’s just too good to be true!...Jazz by 3-9 points

While I’ll admit I’m a closet Diggler Nowitski enthusiast, I honestly believe the Mavs are a much better team than the Spurs. Josh Howard is the most underrated wing-player in the league, Jason Terry & Devin Harris are consistently solid in the backcourt, and Avery has some nice size and depth in the frontcourt. While the Spurs are still formidable, Bowen is noticeably a step slower, Ginobili has been inconsistent and injured most of the year, and nobody seems to want to step-up alongside Duncan in the middle. I like the Mavs straight-up tonight, but I’ll take the points because I’m a professional…Dallas by 1-6 points

The T-Wolves have actually played like a team with a superstar and a deep roster of late. While KG’s numbers have been solid the past few years, he’s finally starting to regain his dominating presence as a leader and raising the level of play of his teammates…especially against lesser opponents. Speaking of lesser opponents, I have not idea how Mo Cheeks’s squad is going to match-up with Mr. Garnett, but I’m guessing Joe Smith will not be not looking forward to his homecoming in Minneapolis tonight…Wolves by 10-16 points
