Damn it's cold...I'm stuck at a Panera trying to finish my picture research for today, but for some reason it won't let me log onto my own site! Something about: "not allowed/not safe"...I wonder why? Anyway, it's still damn cold and there is too much NBA luv tomorrow to even touch tonight's professional action (except for maybe one game)...but of course I'll be messing around with some late-night west-coast collegiate stuff to pass the time...Shoot me a comment on my picks below, I'm off to a Chinese Tea Hall to see if I can load up www.insideplays.com...Picture me frozen'
Brigham Young Cougars (-3) @ Wyoming Cowboys
BYU & Air Force are the class of the MVC and both have been playing extremely solid of late. The Cougars are riding a 4 game-win streak that includes double digit road victories at New Mexico and Utah, and at home against #25 UNLV by 27 and #13 Air Force by 9. As for Wyoming, they've lost 5 of 7 and were just involved in an on-court brawl where a few players were suspened. While it sounds like some of them will play tonight, I just think you need to be too perfect to beat the Cougars right now...BYU by 9-15 points
Air Force Falcons (-3) @ San Diego St. Aztecs
The disciplined Falcons have lost only 3 times all season, are coached by a young former NBA headmaster, and are loaded with veteran leadership. As for the Aztecs, they're talented but haven't closed out games against elite competition...oh yeah, and they've lost my azz some cash!...Falcons by 6-12 points
Phoenix Suns @ Portland Trailblazers (+3.5)
The Suns got a tough little battle from Carmelo and the Nuggets yesterday, but were able to pull out a victroy even with Steve Nash on the sideline with an injured shoulder for most of the second half. While I've vested and won on the Suns most of the year, traveling to Portland on a Tuesday with a short bench and probably without Nash doesn't sound like much fun. The Blazers are young and inexperienced, but Nate McMillian is getting an all-star performance from Zach Randolph and actually has a nice rotation to work with...Blazers by 2-8 points
