A solid 4-2 weekend on the hardwood has boosted the moral throughout the Insideplays.com’s offices and hallways…and actually given me an opportunity to take my girl to a restaurant that isn’t BYOB. Not much action tonight, but enough to give you a reason to buy a 40 oz., a Totino’s Party Pizza, and the NBA package to catch the classic rivalry that is the Bobcats vs the Jazz. Holla at your boy!
CHARLOTTE BOBCATS @ UTAH JAZZ (-13.5)
The Jazz & Spurs seem awfully sick of hearing about how unstoppable the Suns & Mavs are, not to mention, Jerry Sloan’s squad actually has the best record against these three teams head-to-head. While taking the Jazz coming off a road victory yesterday would usually scare me, they’ve only played a handful of games with everybody healthy and should have their dominating young frontcourt licking their chops with Okafor, Sean May, and Othella Harrington all out tonight. In addition, the Bobcats lost a tough contest against the Supersonics last night and may be walking through the motions tonight…Jazz by 17-23 points
GEORGE MASON PATRIOTS VS VCU RAMS (-4)
The Patriots were the Cinderella Story of last year’s NCAA tourney, which means Greggy G thinks Vegas is shifting the line towards George Mason tonight since most ATS players are not too familiar with the VCU Rams. The Rams are loaded with veteran guards and have a smart, disciplined frontcourt that screams Sweet Sixteen. While George Mason has come-on strong over the last few weeks, they were beaten by double digits both at home and on the road by VCU this year. Yeah, I know Dicky V says it’s hard to beat any team 3 times in-a-row, but he also thinks the ACC could beat half the teams in the NBA…VCU by 7-13 points
G. GAMBLE’S HOOP TOTALS- NBA 82-71 ATS ; NCAA 52-54 ATS
