Greg Gamble’s Daily NBA Special: 93-71 ATS …and 146-125 ATS Overall!!!

Is there a better way to start the week, besides maybe a couple brownies with some flavorful herbs, than an undefeated evening on the hardwood? While some splendid defense by VCU in the final minutes gave me a backend cover, the Jazz made things easy by blowing-out the Bobcats by the 3rd quarter and enabling me to actual turn off the tube, sip on some brandy, and finish my girl’s scarf I’ve been crocheting for the last year and a half. As for tonight, there are slimmer pickings than at the gentelmen’s club at BYU so I’m playing it light again. Greggy G’s covered 6 of his last 8…have you? HOLLA

SEATTLE SUPERSONICS (+3) @ NEW YORK KNICKS
Jesus Shuttlesworth (…or Ray Allen for those not in the know) surprised everybody by deciding against season ending ankle surgery and has announced he’ll play through the pain the rest of the way. Following his announcement, he dropped 34 points on the Bobcats Sunday playing 41 minutes, while Rashard Lewis continued his outstanding play with 28 points and 8 rebs. Overall, the Sonics have quietly won 6 of 9 and moved within 4½ games of the final playoff spot in the West, and are starting an east coast road-trip that could put them right back in the mix (Knicks, 76ers, Celtics, & Raptors). As for the Knicks, they just remind me of renting a gang-bang adult video…it sounds enticing, but next thing you know your watching a bunch of penises running around. Especially with Jamal Crawford out for the season, the Knicks don’t have much perimeter shooting and struggle to get the ball inside to Eddy “Cheesburger” Curry. Finally, Lewis (who has been oft-rumored to NY) and Shuttlesworth love the big stage in the Big Apple and should combine for at least 60 tonight…Supersonics by 1-6 points

NEW ORLEANS HORNETS (+5) @ DENVER NUGGETS
Since my girl went to bed early Friday Night (maybe she goes to bed so early because she’s sick of hearing me compare the inside-out game of Linas Kleiza to a young Robert Horry), I watched almost the entire Nugget loss to the Rockets. George Karl squad is the absolute worst defense team I’ve seen since I played in my 16 and-under Church League All-Star game…BTW, my azz dominated from 8-12 ft in that contest. While Camby has put up huge numbers the last year and a half, he looks unbelievably frustrated playing with the one-on-one duo and his froutcourt mate Nene doesn’t seem to give a rats-azz about controlling the paint. I know the Hornets have been up-and-down lately, but you cannot question their desire or defense on any given night. Desmond Mason has the ability to keep up with Carmelo, while I’ll take Chris Paul over A.I. any day of the week. The Nuggets look lost, while Hornets look desperate…I’ll take desperation…Hornets by 1-6 points
