In honor of Mark Buehrle’s probable last start as a Southsider, this write-up will be done in half the time. A promise this is last day of my BS, but all kinds of family are in-town with the 4th of July and Greggy G Jr’s 1st birthday. At least you have a few picks and pics…cause nuttin’ makes hangin’ with fam more fun than yelling UNO and watching the sports-ticker make my pockets fatter!
MINNESOTA TWINS @ NEW YORK YANKEES (-1.5) (EVEN)
I hate the Rocket, but I have to admit I think he’s better than the Twinkies pitcher Boof Bonser. I know the Bronx Bombers have been terrible lately, but they finally started to hit a lil’ bit yesterday (5 runs & 11 hits) and Roger is due for a dominating performance. Also, this is their second series in-a-row at home, while the Twins are coming in of a disappointing loss last night on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball…Yankees by 4-6 runs
CHICAGO CUBS (-150) @ WASHINGTON NATS
If the Cubs lose, I’ll count it as a 1.5 loss on my record. The Northsiders are the hottest team in the NL and have lil’ bit of that baseball magic thing going. As for the Nats, their still the Nats and Simontacchi (5.81) is not very good…Cubs by 2-4 runs
