COLLEGE GAMEDAY FELLAZ...LET'S ROLL!!! For News and News Matters Only!

College Picks: 8-6 ATS - NFL Picks: 6-5 ATS - MLB Picks: 113-90 ATS

You can't stop what you can't catch!

I know my nickname around the watering hole is “Greggy Gamble on the Favorite”, but the stars seem aligned for WV tonight like the night in Vegas I partied with Mack from “The Program” and shot-the shit with Jerry West’s hot wife within a 3-hour span (FYI, Jerry West is the dude on the basketball). While the Mountaineers' offense has looked even better than last year, the D's improvement since opening day is what makes me more confident than knowing the next Hometown Hottie in Maxim is not going to be from my Hometown. Every week they’ve given-up fewer points than the week prior (24, 23, 14, 7), and against East Carolina last Saturday they only gave-up a 160 total yards. Throw-in the fact that the Bulls ruined their season last year with a 24-19 win in Morgantown, and I have a feeling Rich Rodriguez will have his boys more fired-up than a Polack in Thailand. Heisman hopefuls QB Pat White & RB Steve Slaton both had the worst games of their career last year against South Florida, so expect them to be extra focused and determined to dominate. Listen, I know the Bulls are legit and it’s impossible not to like the moxy of So. QB Matt Grothe, but for all the hype the received for winning at Auburn the Tigers followed that up by losing at home to an awful Mississippi St. squad. Especially if WV gets up early, I expect them to gain momentum and look to punish like a stripper with the bachelor on stage.

And now for some Saturday action...

If he can run on the Buckeyes, he can run in Evanston!

After being the punch line of more jokes than Jermey Piven and Carrot Top combined, does anybody else get the feeling that Michigan is going to embarrass anybody they have an opportunity to? RB Mike Hart (164 rypg) and the mammoth OL will absolutely run roughshod over a Wildcat defense that allowed a horrible Nevada squad to rush for over 200 yards. Not to mention, their pass defense gave-up almost 250 yards at home to a Duke squad that won for the 1st time in nearly a 100 games. In the past, NW scared teams under former coach Randy Walker’s awesome spread offense, but with the defensive-minded Pat Fitzgerald thrown into the coaching mix earlier than expected the offense has lost the magic and plenty of the unique recruits. Hopefully, Fitzgerald is given the opportunity to succeed in Evanston because I think he’ll be a solid headmaster, but it’s gonna take quite awhile for him to form an identity and bring in his style of players. Finally, for all the dart-throwing about Michgan’s young defense early-on, they’ve rallied and looked awesome in their last two contests allowing a total of 9 points to Notre Doodie and Penn State.

If this doesn't scream Crimson, I doubt my write-up will help!

Hey, I hate Nick Saban more than I hate sitting next to a fat hairy dude on an airplane, but he may be one of the best coaches in college football. Not to mention, they’ve played a pretty tough schedule and looked solid so far (@Vandy W 24-10, #16 Arkansas W 41-38, #22 Georgia L 26-23), while coming off a loss probably made Saban even more intense during the week than normal. The RB duo of Grant & Coffee have been awesome averaging more than 6 ypc, and QB John Parker Wilson, besides being one of the kids on Home Improvement back in the day, is finally living-up to the hype he had coming in. As for the Seminoles, let’s just say I’m never investing on them while Bobby Bowden is still there…let alone QB Drew Weatherford. They struggled mightily to throw the ball against a weak Colorado squad and barely pulled out a 16-6 victory…And The Tide defense is twice the size and faster than an underage white-boy running from a Keg Party, so expect the Seminoles to have trouble moving the ball all day. And finally, I’M ACTUALLY GETTING POINTS IN THIS ONE…HOLY TOLEDO beat ISU BATMAN!

...and how about my Homeboy T-Bone!

Week 5 gents, and on yet another Saturday I awake and within an hour I am comfortably numb. This week is where the men separate from the boys, to be at least 4-1 coming out of Saturday means a bowl is a lock and conference title is still the talk in the locker room. And men win on the road, so week 5 is about road dogs that have testicles.

How do you not luv this man?!

Penn State -3.5 @ Illinois
One loss at Michigan and now everyone gives up on Joe Pa. The Juice creates a balanced Illini rushing attack, but when the Nittany Lions only give up 55 a game on the ground I don’t think the Orange Crush will put up much more than 10 in this one. Paterno has the talent this year with Senior QB Anthony Morelli improving weekly, a balance ground game, and lets not forget the stifling D. We won’t begin talking about how Paterno can’t coach anymore on this weekend. Penn St. by 13

Odds are a top-5 QB in the 2008 NFL draft should be a solid cover...especially coming off a loss!

Louisville –9 @ NC State
How ‘bout this for a spread that should’ve been 20+ just two short weeks ago? The great thing is that the Cards are still a phenomenal team and someday there D will show up and play, I happen to think that this week will be the turnaround week. More so than the D, Brohm will be clicking with his wideouts and they will go deep early on the road, leading the Derby state to 50 points, and quite frankly, the Wolfpack hasn’t put up more than 23 at home this year against lesser teams. Louisville by at least 15

Michigan St. @ Wisconsin teased down to -1.5
If Camp Randall was my home stadium, I don’t even think Joey Chestnutt could beat me in a straight up Nathans competition. So why would any of us believe that Sparty could post a ‘W’ on Saturday. Just like last week, not a lot of points in this one, but I never like to bet against those drunken cheeseheads. Go Badgers!!! Wisconsin by a game winning field goal.

I'm guessing she's more Aggie than Bear!

Baylor @ Texas A&M teased down to -11
The Aggies put up 40 a game and 300 yds on the ground at home. The Big 12 Bears made my pockets phat last week, but that has been the first time they have covered the road spread in a long time. Baylor still sucks, and Stephen Magee for A&M will control the field yet again. Penis only cheerleaders take it by two touchdowns.
