I woke-up this morning with the pain you get when you haven’t worked out in awhile…unfortunately, the pain was due to simply drinking twice my body weight over the weekend. Throw-in the fact that I’m leaving for Vegas in three days, and I might just re-work my Will during the Monday Night contest. You think Sin City has an ova/unda on how many places refuse to sell me drinks by Friday afternoon? While I’m sure that will happen, hopefully the sportsbook can’t ban me for simply being an ATS genius…except on some Sundays. After an undefeated day on the College Gridiron, the gambling gods beeatch-slapped me like I was the Bengals defensive coordinator as I put-up a 0-2 day. Oh yeah, and to make matters worse, my opponent in fantasy had Carson Palmer and Steve Smith…like that makes the heartburn and kidneys feel any better. C-YA
WASHINGTON REDSKINS @ PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (UNDA 39)
QB Donovan McNabb looked extremely tentative in the pocket last week and doesn’t seem to have complete confidence in his re-built knee just yet. Throw in a conservative game-plan that Andy Reid should have used with his own kids and I see Philly needing a few more weeks to find the endzone on a regular basis. As for the Redskins, Joe Gibbs realizes the only chance he has of making the playoffs is if they don’t turn the ball over, so expect at least 40 carries tonight between Portis and Betts. QB Jason Campbell only threw it 21 times last week and was pick-off twice, so my guess is we’ll see plenty of short routes and a battle for field-position instead of a battle for points. I know it’s not a sexy selection, but tough to ignore the fact that neither team will probably score more than 17 points tonight.
Final Score: Redskins 17 Eagles 16
