Home of Greggy G's Daily ATS Picks

ATS - NBA:13-12 - NFL:18-16 - College:24-25 - MLB:116-91

Watchin' the Bears for 3-hours has turned into a frickin' chore. Rex played just good enough for our coaches and GM to probably think maybe they should pay him next year (let him go), while the remaining skill-positions are far from explosive and the O-Line looks to have aged overnight. As for my weekend, I only had one big-play at the window yesterday because of too much poker on Fri & Sat (one-point cover (Rams -3 over the 49ers), I'll admit I;m starting to get that NBA tingle. For tonight, will I'd luv to play the Monday Nighter, I don’t have the balls to invest in one of the young QBs and have decided to play the NBA to feed my fix...I mean hobby

SEATTLE SUPERBAD SONICS (2-9) @ MEMPHIS GRIZZ (2-7) (-6)
While the Grizz have struggled through the 1st month of the season, their schedule has been pretty brutal, and especially lately, have been playing extremely competitive against some of the top teams in the league. After beating a Rocket squad a week ago, they’ve lost 3 in-a-row by a total of 8 points at Milwaukee, at Dallas, and against the Hornets. Under new up-tempo coach Marc Iavaroni, they’re still experimenting with different rotations, but seem to have found a nice rhythm with SG Juan Carlos Navarro now in the starting line-up (last 2 games: 42 points, 8 apg 10-15 3-pointers). With Navarro, the Grizz are going with a smaller line-up with shooters surrounding Pau Gasol (Mike Miller & Rudy Gay), while finally entrusting the point guard duties to the penetration and defensive wizard Kyle Lowry. As for the SuperBad Sonics, they’re closing out a 5-game Eastern Conference road swing that saw them finally pull-out a couple victories against Maimi and a short-handed Atlanta squad, before losing by 16 at Charlotte Satruday. While Durant still has the green-light to cast, Damian Wilkens & Chris Wilcox have really been the only consistent players for P.J. Carlesimo, but tonight, I’m guessing they’ll simply be waiting for the plane-ride to head home. If the Grizz can get any type of lead before halftime, I’m guessing you’ll see the Sonics sleep walking thru the second half…Grizz by 14-10 points

NBA TEASER SPECIAL

NEW JERSEY NETS(4-6) @ UTAH JAZZ (7-4)*Jazz teased to -6.5
PORTLAND BLAZERS (4-6) @ CHARLOTTE BOBCATS (5-4)*Bobcats teased to -1.5

After blowing a lead late against King James Friday Night, the Jazz looked out of it Saturday in an embarrassing 20-point loss at Indiana. Until the 4th quarter Friday Night, nobody in the league was playing better than Utah, and I’m guessing Sloan will make sure their focus returns tonight at home. As for the Nets, after beating-up on some of the bottom-feeders to start the season, they’ve lost 5 in-a-row, including 4 since Vinsanity went down with an ankle injury, and have been awful against anybody with any kind of frontcourt…which means Captain Carlos & Okur are in for a nice night. While Carter will be traveling with the squad, it looks like he won’t be playing again tonight, which leaves RJ and Kidd to carry the load. As for their match-ups, I luv AK-47 on Jefferson and think Deron Williams is big enough to handle Kidd’s power-point play…Jazz by 11-15 points

Portland is the epitome of a young talented squad…4-0 at home, 0-6 on the road! With a nice 4-game home-stand awaiting them in Portland, I’d be surprised if they look much better than they did Saturday in a 16-point loss to an Arenas’less Wizard squad. While Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge have been solid all season, they haven’t had much help and have some tough match-ups tonight (Roy vs. J-Rich, Aldrdige vs G. Wallace). As for the Cats O Bob, they’ve surprised many with their start and have looked solid at home under new headmaster Sam Vincent (4-2). While they don’t have the frontcourt depth to handle teams with multiple scorers down-low, the Blazers are much more of a perimeter oriented team and should struggle to keep Okafor from dominating the boards tonight…Cats O Bob by 7-11 points
