Bogut's always had the passion, and now he's addin' the skill!
Who would have thought we’d be a week from December and saying that a tilt with the Atlanta Hawks was a must win scenario? Let’s just say I’m a lil nervous with the 6-7 Joe Johnson & 6-8 Josh Childress playing shooting guard against our hometown midgets in the backcourt. As for that Monday Night Football debacle, I guess you get what you deserve when your field already looks worse than Britney’s carpet and you proceed to abuse it more than K-Fed by scheduling College & High School games all year. With that, off to my picks and pics for the hardwood. Besides the normal professional plays, I’m poppin’ my Cherry on the college action…and don’t worry, it’s not the Marist Red Foxes!
If you look up-n-down the Bucks line-up there's nuttin' missing!
PHILLY 76ERS @ MILWAUKEE BUCKS (-7)
With the Bulls looking shorter and less confident than a 30 year-old with braces, I luv that the Bucks are just an hour and a half from Chicago and usually have plenty of bandwagon space. With a go-to guy in Michael Redd, some young frontcourt gems that actually seem interested in becoming dominate (Bogut, Jianlian, & Villanueva), and bevy of role-players that all can score (D. Mason, Mo Williams, B. Simmons, & C. Bell), what really impressed my was their preseason that saw them focus on defense and rebounding. The Bucks are currently riding a 5-game win-streak, are undefeated at home (6-0), and beat the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday and have taken over 1st play in the Central. On the 76ers side, it’s been ugly all season, especially on the road (1-6), and their best player (Andre Iguodala) has been forced to try to take over games when he’s more of hybrid role-player (42 fg%, 33 3pt%, 75 ft%, 4.5 TOs). While Andre Miller is a solid veteran PG and Louis Williams is a nice young player, with Willie Green, Reggie Evans, & Sammy D in the starting line-up, I can’t see how they score enough to keep this one close on the road…Bucks by double-digits

Virginia has one player 2night that's pink-nighty good!
NORTHWESTERN WILDCATS @ VIRGINIA CAVS (-14)
The Cavaliers came flying out of the gate under former DePaul Blue Demons coach Dave Leitao winning 5-straight, including an impressive victory at Arizona. Led by Sr. guard Sean Singletary (22 ppg, 5 rpg, 6 apg), Virginia was somewhat surprised on Saturday by a fired-up Seton Hall squad in Philly (L 74-60) and probably regained some focus to head into tonight’s ACC/Big Ten challenge against Northwestern. Not that this should be much of a challenge, the Wildcats are 1-3, are led by a 5-10 freshman guard, and have a starting line-up that features four guards and a 6-6 forward. Add in the road game atmosphere and I’d be shocked if N’Western can keep this within 20 tonight…Cavaliers by 20-24 points

After a promising start...the Bulls and Britney have fallen apart!
The Hawks opened their three-game road-trip with victories at Miami & Minnesota, and are starting to look like a team that understands that their freakish athletic ability can be dominate if they display discipline at both ends of the floor. Loaded with swingmen between 6-7 and 6-9 (Joe Johnson, Josh Childress, Joe Smith, & Marvin Williams) the undersized Bulls should have trouble, especially at shooting guard, to prevent these guys from backing them down in the post. While the Bulls may play with some desperation tonight, I don’t see how the Hawks don’t give them a battle all-night and I don’t see how a team with absolutely no low-post scoring can cover double-digits…Bulls in a buzzer-beater
My simple thought in Lakerland tonight, no-way Kobe doesn’t do everything in his power to show-up Kevin Durant and the piss-poor Sonics. Especially coming of a three-game losing-streak, Kobe might score 50 tonight, while the Showtime lights in L.A. will distract Durant into a shot-happy 7-24 evening. Odom, Walton, & Radmanovic have been awful lately, so expect the vets to come-out focused and not to let-up once the lead gets close to 20…Lakers by 15-19 points
