I hope all of you had a great thanksgiving this year, and more importantly I hope you found a way to throw some cabbage down while the family was waddling thru the food line for the third time. I am thankful for many things this year….1) booze(or anything that takes me away from reality Smokey), 2)Greggy G’s ex-girlfriends photos, and 3) Greggy G getting’ in the groove with NBA ATS tilts. If you haven’t learned the secret yet, you simply shut your brain off and place an equal amount of monopoly money on each game that Greggy G picks, this will land you with more lettuce to throw down on your own lame picks and keep the spouse from seeing a bunch of withdrawals from your bank account. So get on the bus, grab your favorite flavored malt liquor and get reading cuz like my homey Ice Cube says ‘Today is a Good Day’!
Georgia –4 @ Georgia Tech
You have to go all the way back to 2000 since the mighty bees have knocked off the Bulldogs, and that wasn’t even at home so you know that home field doesn’t mean squat in this rivalry. When I run through their resumes I see a couple things…Georgia Tech has compiled 7 wins against some serious bottom dwellers while their 4 losses are against decent teams, just like a an average ball club should do. Georgia on the other hand has found an offense this year to finally help out their D. Stafford and the boyz have put points up on everyone they have faced, and today won’t be any different. The Bulldogs D will shut down Tashard Choice today and force Taylor Bennett to beat them with his sub .500 completion percentage. Georgia by 10.
UCONN +19 @ West Virginia
I will be the first to say that West Virginia is among the top in my book, and they will win today by double digits, but how can you overlook this UCONN squad who have only lost to tough Virginia & Cincy clubs. The Huskies D has been stellar this year and with the nerves of the Big East championship on the line, I think it will take into the second half for both clubs to get their offenses rolling. West Virginia by 13.
South Florida teased down to –3 @ Pittsburgh
After the Bulls got bucked off their high horse in midseason they have come back with a couple impressive wins(@Syracuse, Louisville). Lets not forget that SF is still really friggin’ good and has an extremely versatile QB in Matt Grothe(combined 22 TD’s), and Pitt is, well, not so good. To top it off the Bulls are looking to better the bowl game while 75% of the Panthers have been hittin’ the bowl in between turkey helpings the last two day. Bulls by 12.
Ball St. teased down to –3 @ N. Illinois
Ball St. if fighting for a bowl bid right now, and they are absolutely amazing on the road ATS. With Garrett Wolfe this would be a good game, without him it’s just a 10th loss for the Huskies this year. I like this one straight up as well, but the extra 6 is like staring down that coed in the corner, oh so sweet!
