While Hines is a classic...

...when healthy, Holmes has been the difference-maker!

We’ve got a lil bit of everything tonight Homeboys, kind of like “A Pool Party at Seymore’s”…btw, do you think his real last name is Butts or is it just a coincidence. Anyway, too much action on gridiron and the hardwood to waste much time, but before I get to my picks & pretty outfits, I have some Holiday Gift ideas for some of our favorites at Insideplays:

For Jason Caffey, Travis Henry, & the Bears LBs
An Idiot’s Guide on How to Wear and Hat

For Mark Chmura
Tag Body Spray and the movie High School Musical

For Rex Grossman
Kiddie Gloves and Lifts for his Shoes

For Roger Clemens & 70% of MLB players
The Wizzinator

And for Najah Davenport
A porcelain toilet shaped like a laundry basket

And now, time for my picks that are guaranteed to win or explain what should have happened…

Luv him or hate him, Kobe's game has been picture pefect!

The KOBE’S (-2) @ The LEBRON’S
While I’m a huge fan of King James and like Kobe as much as blonde girls like Mr. Bryant in Colorado, this is the type of game where the Lakeshow Legend will try to prove he’s still the best baller in the land. As for LeBron, his Cavs were destroyed in Gotham last night and should be a little weary for tonight’s TNT tilt. Throw-in the match-ups the favor LA in almost every category (The Zenmaster vs Mike Brown, Odom vs Gooden, Fisher vs Gibson, bench vs no-bench, young tall black-man vs old tall foreign slow white-guy) and a Laker squad that’s won 6 of 7, and I’m guessing you’ll see Charles Barkley clamoring that Kobe’s competitive-drive is 2nd only to MJ tonight…Lakers by 5-9 points

The Heat ship is sinking fast!

NJ NETS (+2.5) @ MIAMI HEAT
The devastation of losing Zo for the season last night sealed the deal for me on this one. While Alonzo’s contributions were not always seen in the box-score, he was a leader for this dysfunctional team and displayed a passion that seemed to drive the Heat when he was on the floor. Throw-in an OT loss last night in ATL, and I can’t see how an aging and banged-up squad will be ready to run with Kidd, Carter, & Jefferson. While the Nets have been a huge disappointment and cost me plenty, how the hell are Jason Williams & Chris Quinn going to prevent J-Kidd from getting anywhere he wants on the hardwood? Coach Frank has also started to give his young bigs more minutes, Josh Boone & Sean Williams, and was rewarded with 16 points, 11 rebound, 8 blocks, & 6 assists from them in their last game. Not to mention he still has Jamaal Magloire and Jason Collins to implement the Hack O’ Shaq when necessary. I know D-Wade will be the best player on the floor tonight, but after 49 minutes and 22 trips to the FT line yesterday, how you think his surgery riddled body is feeling today?...Nets by 4-8 points

GREGGY G'S TEASER SPECIAL

NAVY MIDSHIPMEN VS UTAH UTES (teased -2)
PITTSBURGH STEELERS (teased -2) @ STL RAMS

wrong%20colors.jpg
Maybe if she was wearing Navy colors I go with that...but those defintely look like Army Fatigues to me!

The Midshipmen football season ended December 1st after a dominating victory (38-3) against Army in the biggest rivalry in college football. A week later, head coach Paul Johnson left for Georgia Tech and his top assistant took over the option-attack. While Navy has had a great season and is riding a 4-game win-streak, their wins have come against the bottom-feeders who have a combined record of 10-38. Tonight, they face a Utes squad that 3rd in the nation in points allowed and was riding a 7-game win-streak before losing a heart-breaker at #25 BYU. After an early season injury, Jr. QB Brian Johnson has commanded the balanced attack (65 comp%), and has been helped by the break-out season by Jr. RB Darrell Mack (1129 yrds, 13 Tds, 4.9 avg) and a bevy of veteran receivers. I know Navy is 8th in the nation in scoring, but as mentioned, they only teams they’ve played that can be considered Utah worthy are Wake Forest & Rutgers and they lost by a combined score of 85-48. I like it straight-up, but add in a Steeler teaser that enables both teams to cover with a FG and we goin’ Sizzler, we goin’ Sizzler!...Utah 41 Navy 31

If you add Big Ben's # with Santonio Holmes's # and then add 1, you get 18! That has to be a sign from the gamblin' gods!

Who would have thought tonight’s match-up with the Rams would be a must-win for New Headmaster Mike “Omar Epps” Tomlin. After opening the season on fire, the Steelers have lost 3 of 5, including 2-straight, and have been forced to play catch-up early. On a positive, it’s not like their last two opponents were patsies (NE & Jax), and Big Ben has eliminated many of the mistakes that caused him some criticism midway thru the year (versus NE & Jax: 4 Tds, 0 Ints). In addition, Fast Willie is coming-off back-to-back 100-yard games, speedster Santonio Holmes is starting to regain his form, and Najah “Poop” Davenport is just too cool not to mention. As for the Rams, their make-shift O-Line continues to threaten the life of Marc Bulger, who played for the 1st time in three weeks last Sunday. The Rams are definitely better than their 3-11 record, especially with S-Jax running like a beast, but I can’t see how they come-out with same desperation the Steelers will have tonight…Steelers 24 Rams 17

The Green Wave had a much longer flight!

TULANE GREEN WAVE vs ST. MARY’S GAELS (-8.5)
*This game will be played in Hawaii as part of the Rainbow Tourny
Yes, I’m back on the St. Mary’s bandwagon after getting roughed-up last week on their trip to Southern Illinois. The Gaels haven’t played since they lost to SIU last Tuesday, their only loss of the season, and should be riled-up for tonight’s match-up against a Tulane squad that just played Monday at home and has not faired too well on the road (1-2). As for the Gaels, they’ve already beaten Oregon & Seton Hall by double-digits and I’m guessing the Louisiana kids may be a lil more distracted by this trip to Honolulu…St. Mary’s by 12-16 points
