BCS Championship ATS Picks and Pics

ATS - College BB: 10-10 NFL: 22-20 NBA: 45-46 MLB: 116-91

While Tebow won the award, this is the best player in CFB!

The SEC hype versus the BIG 10 mediocrity takes center stage in the BCS Championship game tonight. While the Buckeyes say their better prepared after last season’s long lay-off debacle (give me a L-A-M-E, give me an E-X-C-U-S-E!), the severely banged-up defense of the Tigers should’ve found the extra time more worthwhile and be back to their early season dominance. While the Buckeye Faithful claim to be just as formidable and showcased their talents in a 14-3 gem against Michigan, Ohio St. gave-up an average of 18 ppg the previously four weeks to likes of Michigan St., Penn St., Wisconsin, & Illinois. Sure those teams aren’t pushovers, but do they compare with the class of the SEC…I think not. Especially with this game in New Orleans, hard not to think the Tigers can’t win by a TD…Tigers by 7-13 points

Some think the GST show is all flash...and I don't have a problem w/ Dat!

Yes, I’m wearing my Warrior Zubuz underneath my work-pants and will admit to drinking the GST Kool-Aid with a lil’ Popov this morning. The veteran, banged-up Spurs had to play their starters more minutes than expected Sunday in unexpected battle with the Clippers. Manu played his 1st game since injuring his hand over a week ago, and I have to think running with the Warriors should be a tough back-to-back test. In addition, while Duncan has said he’ll play tonight, he took a pretty good shot on his aging-knee and should feel it even more tonight. As for the Warriors, you never know what you’ll get from Nellie’s crew, but they should be desperate to end their 2-game losing streak…something they haven’t seen since mid-November. And finally, while Tony Parker is virtually unstoppable at the offensive-end, he can’t handle the strength of Baron’s azz on the block, which may cause the Spurs to alter their match-ups tonight…Warriors by 6-10 points

Look for the Ramblers to be suprisingly tired tonight

The 13-1 Bulldogs are a disciplined bunch of upperclassmen that have overcome some early season inconsistencies and have to be surprised they still sit with 1-loss and #17 ranking. Following a 9-point home win against previously 11-3 Valpo on Saturday, the Bulldogs will be making short-trip to Chi-Town looking to regain their dominating form against the bottom-feeders at the mid-major level. The Ramblers are currently 1-3 in the Horizon League, 5-9 overall, and have looked even worse over their last three with the absence of Jr. F Lance Young who leads the teaming in rebounding and is second in scoring. Loyola is still trying to find a consistent rotation with multiple early-season injuries and has not shown the disciple-defensively to handle a team that passes the ball like a Gene Hackman coached squad and shoots over 40% from behind the arc. In addition, the Ramblers just lost at (5-7) Youngstown St. by 10 on Saturday and may not be as sharp in the early going…Bulldogs by 15-19 points
