MILWAUKEE BREWERS (-120) @ CINCINNATI REDS
When healthy, Ben Sheets (2-0, 1.17) has been as dominate as any pitcher over his career. And this year, considering it’s a contract year and he looks like he spent less time this off-season eating Funjuns and actually looks like…a pitcher looking to prove he’s worth a zillion dollars. As for the Brewer hitters, what’s amazing about their solid open to the season has been they’ve done it while Braun & Fielder have slumped in the middle of their line-up. But yesterday, those two combined for 4 hits, 4 Rbi’s, and 2 runs as Milwaukee (9-6) snapped a 2-game losing streak at St. Louis. Tonight, they travel to Cincinnati to face a club managed by Dusty Baker…so we have that going for us. While the Reds started out the year strong, before beating the Cubs yesterday they had lost 5-straight and really looked like the same old reds of the last few years. On the mound tonight for the below-average Reds...
On the mound tonight for the below-average Reds, Bronson “I have 3-weeks a year where I look dominate” Arroyo (0-1, 5.17) will try to pitch for a full 6-innings for the 1st time all year, which should be tough since he’s allowing 1.5 baserunners per inning. Throw-in the drama from Dusty returning to Wrigley this week and I bet playing in boring Cincinnati might even be a letdown for the Reds…did I mention Adam Dunn is hitting .182 with 4 more strikeouts than hits…Brewers by 3-5 runs

Denver vs. L.A. Lakers
You know, I never understood all season how this team was so bad defensively. Especially with a defensive player of the year in Camby, A.I. who was a good defender in Philly, and Nene & Martin down low. But folks they are terrible on D. I don't see why that's going to change in the playoffs. Denver will get 1 game at home, maybe 2 if their lucky but their awful D will cost them this series in 5-6 games.
Phoenix vs. San Antonio
This match up is very interesting. I think Tony Parker is the key to this one. He's going to come off his all season vacation and get to the basket and slow down Nash on the defensive end. Good defense will win this series in 7 for the Spurs. Sorry Suns. The champs get it done. Defense gets teams to the next round....and Phoenix .....you just doesn't have enough. Spurs in 7.
Houston vs. Utah
T-Mac will have to be all world to get his squad a win in Utah in the playoffs. On the flip side, the Jazz are just as bad on the road....so this series could go 7 games. In the end ....the Jazz get it done at the crib in 7.
Dallas vs. New Orleans
Forget all that blah blah blah about Dallas' experience and how CP3 and the crew are not ready. This series will come down to coaching.....and Byron "I have 4 rings" Scott has been coaching great all year. Avery on the other hand has made some questionable decisions during the regular season, especially after the acquisition of J Kidd. Mistakes in playoff games will come back to haunt him if they happen in this series...... Hornets in 6-7 games!
