What's that you say? No hoops and no big horse races!! Have no fear, there is plenty of stick ball and even some short skirt hotties playing on the clay across seas. Remember what mama always said...fast cars equal fast women. She forgot to mention that degenerates and booze equal gambling, but I guess we figured that out on our own!
Boston Red Sox +131 (-1.5runs) @ Baltimore Orioles
The no-hittin' fool Jonny Lester is on the mound again after coming back to earth in his last outing. Although Lester is sittin' at 3-3, he has a pretty respectable 3.55 ERA and we all know he has the talent to shut down a team and go deep into a game. I add all of that together then throw in the fact that the O's have nothing more than a mediocre scoring team, and the BoSox have owned Ripken's team of old by taking 17 of the last 24 outings at Camden Yards. This will be a good one to watch cause Garrett Olson for Baltimore puts on a good show, but unfortunately he doesn't have the run support to stay close to Boston. BoSox win 6-3.
Houston Astros +165 @ Milwaukee Brewers
Yet another good pitching dual Moeller and Sheets. With this one I don't think the Stro's have enough to win by a couple, but with them on a 3 game slide they have to come out of it at some point. Houston has yet to lose 4 in a row this season so I like their chances. Don't get me wrong, if you put Sheets and Moeller in a best of 5, good 'ol Ben would take the series hands down, but not today. And you can guarantee that if they don't win today I'm doubling up tomorrow. Houston wins outright 5-3.
If you are in the mood for parlays today, take one of the above with Dempster and the Cubbies outright or throw in the Red Wings outright.
