Before you go to the beach and pretend like you actually like to watch sand volleyball, see what T-Bone has to say about the MLB slate...
2008 MLB RECORD: 21-18
After rolling a pathetic 1-4 last weekend with my MLB picks (2 of them from the friggin' Chubbies during their broom pounding to the Bleach Sox), I received a motivational text message from my homey Greggy G that simply stated 'Ouch'. Yeah, it hurt, more than you know, but my belief is basic.....the one good thing about trends (remember my 1-4 pathetic trend), is that trends change, so in my book this weekend is going to be something special. Have a great 4th weekend, and if watching the Williams sisters doesn't give you thoughts about being the frosting in the middle of a Williams oreo cookie, then mix up a friggin' drink early, cuz your brain is obviously not working how it should be.

Wrong country, right colors....and right everything else.
Detroit Tigers +125(-1.5runs) @ Seattle Mariners
This series is split at 1 apiece so far and the Tigers are sending one of their young stars to the mound today. Galarraga has been on fire early posting a 3.19 ERA and a 7-2 record. The Mariners on the other hand bring Dickey in return, and while Dickey may be the correct solution for most of the ladies, it isn't necessarily the correct solution for a large salary of Tiger hitters. In case you are wondering, this Dickey has a 6.93 ERA and a 1-4 start, something that most high schoolers could accomplish. Oh yeah, and the Mariners suck, somehow posting a record that leaves them 20 games unda .500 going into the mid season break. Tigers win 6-2.

Don't look too close, you might smudge the screen with your nose....
NY Mets @ Philadelphia Phillies +181(-1.5runs)
The men on the mound today are pretty equal....they will give up some hits and some runs pretty regularly. But what I like about the Phils today is that Moyer is an above average pitcher that has somehow lost 3 in a row, I don't think he will allow that to extend to a 4th. Plus they have been absolutely turning it on as a team, winning 5 of their last 6 and 11 of their last 15 against the Mets. Phillies bring home the bacon....5-3.
