Teasin’ T-Bone here, and as we roll into the 2nd weekend of our college football extravaganza, I need to let you know how I fared at the sportsbooks last weekend. *BTW, If your looking for my Homeboy Greg Gamble's ATS Collegiate Pick of the Day...touch me here
In between the "Clubs O Pole" (just for site seeing), here's how I did:
Insideplays picks: 2-2 - Personal picks: 6-4 - Parlays: 0-2
Teasers: 0-2 (I hit 3 of 4 & 6 of 7 on my teasers respectively, still a loss, but always lookin’ for that extra game)
As I have been studying the lines all week (and pickin’ up cabbage on Greg Gamble's Thursday night NFL), one game has stuck out as my 5 star and I have been digging for the last 3 days to find something wrong with it, and I can’t. I also have a couple others that seem to be anomalies, and you can guarantee will tie up my funds for about three hours, but don’t worry homies, it’ll all come back to me after the game.
So w/out further ado, lets treat 2day like ur friends mom when she's wearin' socks like dis & start hammerin' away…
Ole Miss @ Wake Forest -8
Last week, the Demon Deacons proved (CLICK HERE FOR MORE)
……. on both sides of the ball that they have improved over last year. I know they played Baylor, but they went to Baylor, they dominated Baylor up front and in the air, and most importantly they shut Baylor down with Baylor's speedster QB and the spread offense. And any time you can shut down the spread for a whole game it simply means to me that you are talented at all positions. Wake has been building a solid program over the last 5 years and is expected to contend for an ACC title with Clemson. So how is it that a team that is horrific can actually stay close? Do you actually think Houston Nutt can turn the program around in his 2nd game? Does Jenna Jameson actually have to push when she sits down to take a number 2? Watch Riley Skinner connect with Ben Wooster and DJ 'my brotha is Anquon' Boldin all day long. Folks, there is no way that WF will let this one stay close at home. WF wins 35-17.
UAB @ Florida Atlantic -13
Not many know much about either of these teams, which is why I luv what the vegas gods have to say. FAU is going to walk through the Sun Belt yet again this year. All the experts have them finishing the year at 10-2, one of those was last week, the other next week against Michigan State. FAU got out rocky against Texas, which will make them very hungry coming back home against a lesser opponent. I am even less impressed that UAB got smoked by Tulsa 45-22 at home. They are also expected to do just the opposite of FAU by going a stellar 2-10 in the wanna be major conference, the one, the only, C-USA. The Owls who aren't Temple win, 42-14.
Kent @ Iowa State -7
After being embarrassed by Kent last year in the opener of his honeymoon season, coach Gene Chizick will not make the same mistake twice. It was obvious last week when they put up 44 points that he has more firepower than last year, and the defense played well except for two late gimme scores. The real reason I love this game, is that the Cyclones are finally able to get back to dominating in the trenches and controlling the game with their plethera of backs, 3 of which had over 50 yds each. On the Kent side, they bring back a 2 headed monster in Julian Edelman and Eugene Jarvis. These boys can play, and look to lead the Golden Flash all year, but leading a MAC team to a .500 finish isn't saying a whole lot. 'Clones put on another offensive display, and there is no way the defense gives up more than 20. Clones win...33-17.
