College Pigskin Record:
Single ATS: 10-10 Parlays: 1-2 Teasers: 2-4
Good morning fellas, we are now into what I call ‘the real deal’ as far as college football goes. It is the first weekend in October my friends, when many teams are just beginning conference play, yet others like the ‘Sconsin Badgers have their season on the line. But one thing is for sure, October is perfect tailgating weather.
As for me, I’m jumping out of my skin this weekend cuz I’m gonna be one of those tailgaters. On the slate today….East Lansing where I will get to see first hand just how good the Iowa Hawkeye’s rush defense is. And yes, I will have some coin on it just cuz I am the degenerate that you think I am, but I ain’t gonna recommend it to anyone. C’mon Vegas, do you really think 2 teams relying on their backs and with equally stout defenses are both gonna drop 20+?? Ooops, did I say too much….
And since I am watching a Hawk game today, you can be guaranteed that if you patiently read my picks word for word and stare at each sweater kitten for at least 15 seconds, you will get a Hawk Girl sighting as a reward….God I luv Herky pasties!!!
While my homey Greggy G is licking his Chicago playoff wounds, he continues to pound the pigskin with authority, to check out his Buckeye Luv, CLICK HERE.
Auburn -4 @ Vanderbilt
I absolutely drool......
......at games like this, cuz you have a Vandy team that really hasn’t played a team that is actually suppose to be good this year(Ole Miss, Rice, S. Carolina, Miami OH). Yes, they are 4-0(2-0 in conference), but do you really think the Commodores are gonna hang tough like NKOTB did in the early ‘90’s?
When I looked thru all the stats of this game, it just made me a little happier. Auburn is a team trying to find themselves in a new offense, and they continue to get better each week. They are now ready for their 6th game in the spread offense, and guess what, the ‘Dores are more like windows when teams open it up on them, giving up almost 250 yds/gm in the air. Chris Todd will open this up early and often. Tigers win 27-13.
Northern Illinois @ Tennessee -16
So all hope is lost in Knoxville right? Not so fast Mr. Naysayer. The Vols are getting the bad rap cuz they flew across the US and dropped one in Cali, then they lost to Auburn and Florida who were both in the top 10 already this year, and will be again. Well guess what, Fullmer may not be able to recruit a national title team again, but he still knows how to coach, and he has plenty of talent, especially when you pair them up against the lowly Huskies who haven’t had a good thing happen to them since G. Wolfe. Vols explode and get on the map again, 42-15.
Texas Tech/Kansas State teased down to over 60
Both of these defenses are giving up about 20 a game against pre-season scmucks like UMASS, E. Washington, UL Lafeyette, and N Texas. Both have enough offensive firepower to understand that when their defenses fail in the first quarter, they turn on the burners and move the ball up and down the field. The winner will have 45 today, which leaves only 15 for the loser…both are averaging over 45/game on the year.
Arizona State +15.5 @ California
It appears everyone is forgetting about Carpenter and the fact that the Sun Devils are a friggin’ solid team. They stumbled once against UNLV, and then lost to Georgia like every other team will this year. So the fact that they get this many going against a Cal team that is good, but not planning to finish above ASU when the season began. I luv this one!!
