TEASIN’ T-BONE’S PIGSKIN RECORD
NCAA: 13-18 NFL: 8-6 Parlays: 1-3 Teasers 10-8
Go straight to Teasin’ T-Bone’s NFL pick o’ tha day, TOUCH ME!
Welcome to Sunday Funday in the land of InsidePlays, where the men are men and the sheep are nervous! If you checked in with us yesterday you will know that our streak of daily winners ended. There isn’t one person that would have guessed that LSU would be down by 21 going into the 4th against Troy, but hey, I’m not bitter. It just meant one more drink to make the pain go away.(btw, I had a hair and went with Black Velvet, my body is screaming at me this morning)
But today is a new day, and Sundays have been a day when any bookie hasn’t been very fond of InsidePlays. Combined Greggy G and I have a 23-18 ATS record and I am an amazing 6-0 on NFL teasers. I know that Greggy is all over Jacksonville at +3 for three reasons. First, J-ville is getting desperate, sitting with 5 losses, they know that a 6th all but eliminates their hopes to play in January. Second, the Titans have a meeting with Favre and his Jets, looking ahead could be a problem today. And third, can Kerry Collins really keep the Titans undefeated? He has to run out of luck or at least jump back on the booze train at some point, doesn’t he?
As for Teasin’ T-Bone, I’m riding the fact that nothing has changed for the Lions and that Kurt Warner continues to defy reality. To read on, click below.
Arizona -3 @ Seattle
Today’s game between the Cardinals and Seahawks simply come down to one thing for me, Kurt Warner and Zona’s passing attack. I have been waiting all year for Warners age to catch up with him, but I am now ready to admit that he is in the middle of something that is very Ram-like from a decade ago. The O-line for the Cards have been able to keep Kurt’s jersey clean all year long, he has been sacked less than 2 times a game while putting up almost 300 yards a game in the air.
To go even deeper into the passing game, Kurt has completed over 70% of his passes while only throwing 6 picks so far. Led by Larry Fitzgerald, the receiving core is as deep as a certain Jenna Jameson canal. Joining Larry is Steve Breaston, Anquon Boldin, Jerheme Urban, and Early Doucet along with Edge, Tim Hightower, and JJ Arrington catching nearly 6 balls a game out of the backfield. The point being that a good defense has to play straight up all game long cause Warner is likely to dump it to anyone that doesn’t have lineman in their job title.
What really convinced me that Zona will control the game is that the Seahawks have one of the worst passing defenses in the league, giving up over 250 yds a contest. This is simply a matchup issue that both teams are heavily aware of. I don’t even see a need for Arizona to pretend they are going to run the ball today. They will come out gunning from the start, and Warner won’t slow down until is aching bones wake up tomorrow morning. Cards roll 31-17.
NFL TEASER SPECIAL
Lions/Panthers teased to over 34.5
Not only does Culpepper not help the offense in a short 10 days with the team, he definitely doesn’t help the defense that gives up over 30 a game. Culpepper does get a couple tuddies with his talented receiving core, but won’t stay to the Panthers 30+ performance. I see this one eclipsing 30 by halftime.
Cardinals/Seahawks teased to over 41.5
Remember what I said above about Warner hitting the air early and often, Seattle has to do the same to keep this close, luckily the Cards give up 24 a game.
This one says it all! C'mon back tomorrow to see what Greggy Gamble has for ya!
